On Thursday the 31st, we hosted a cozy, Halloween-themed baking party! While there are already lots of activities on Halloween night, we decided to make a day out of the festivities since some schools had the day off!
In our first round of baking, we made Oreo truffles, ghost sugar cookies, and brownies. While we crushed Oreos, rolled cookie dough, and mixed the batter for the brownies, we listened to Halloween music and caught up with each other, since most of us had met before at other Cove Collective events. Once we put the treats in the oven and the fridge, we realized that we still had plenty of time left together, so we decided to bake some more! This time, we made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (with extra chocolate chips) and more Oreo truffles. We also got to work decorating our other treats with frosting, sprinkles and chocolate chips.
As we finished our baking, we got to sample our treats. We also packaged the rest, and each went home with a selection of baked goods!
