Last Friday night, we hosted a picnic to take advantage of the beautiful weather and the last few days of unscheduled free time before we start the upcoming school year! We met on the LIC waterfront and as guests showed up, we got to know each other over a charcuterie board and some pre-dinner donuts and snickerdoodle bars. It was so fun to find out how much we all had in common despite the fact that most of us had never met each other before!
Once pizza arrived, we continued sharing our stories from the summer, and admired the view as the sun went down. We wrapped the night up with a second round of dessert and more great conversation before going our separate ways! We all had a fantastic time getting to know each other over our meal, and I’m so glad that we made the most of the end of summer with this event!
